Massage Eases Anxiety, But No Better Than Simple Relaxation Does
A new randomized trial shows that on average, three months after receiving a series of 10 massage sessions, patients had half the symptoms of anxiety. This improvement resembles that previously reported with psychotherapy, medications, or both. But the trial, published in the journal Depression and Anxiety, also found massage to be no more effective than simple relaxation in a room alone with soft, soothing music.

Exercise better than medicine for anxiety
Scientists from the University of Georgia have found that patients with chronic illness can reduce anxiety with regular exercise. Exercise was found to reduce anxiety by twenty percent and is much safer than medications that carry risk of side effects of sedation and addiction. According to the researchers, exercise might be the best prescription a physician can offer a patient for anxiety.

Healthy diet may benefit women's mental health
Women who suffer from depression and anxiety may want to take a look at their diet as possible contributors to these conditions, study findings hint. Dr. Felice N. Vitamin B12 may account for some 'senior moments'
There was a time when we thought only strict vegetarians were at risk for developing Vitamin B12 deficiency, but not any more. Approximately 10 to 30 per cent of Canadians over the age of 50 have already been diagnosed with this nutrient deficiency. But the concern is that there may be numerous others undiagnosed who maybe assuming their forgetfulness, or lack of energy is just due to the fact that they are getting older.

Alternative Medicine for Affordable Health Care and Overcoming Anxiety
The solution to affordable health care is so simple. To be healthy and prosperous or diseased and bankrupt, that is the question. In the Democratic Debates, Senator Mike Gravel turned to Hillary Clinton and said, “Hillary, shame on you, you know that the Congress is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Military Industrial complex.” Now our political leaders are throwing us all under the bus to block real health reform to protect their campaign contributors from the Health, Pharmaceutical and Insurance industry.
